This blog is a collection of random stories, anecdotes and thoughts in general. I started it back in September 2004 when my lifestyle as a wanderer began with an exchange trip to France. As the people, places and shenanigans blur together this blog is as much a tool to remind myself of what I have done and who I have met as it is to inform my friends and family that I am, in fact, still alive.

I feel like I have been hit by a truck
After a lot of snow last night I headed up on the early Gondola for breakfast. I’m not going to lie, it wasn’t the best day of the season. It was the best day of my life! Except for about 20 minutes for lunch, I literally boarded for 8 hours straight. The breakfast was pretty impressive and there was a decent amount of snow and at first the day went ok. For some reason, don’t ask me why (it’s a long and largely illogical train of thought), I decided to make an adjustment to my bindings to shift my weight forward (riding powder; that is the last thing you want to do) and suddenly it dawned on me. “Oh, so THAT’s what snowboarding is like” clearly, before now I was just sliding around a mountain with no idea what I was doing.
